The A Family

Wow..I am posting three times in one day. I am on a roll! Actually, more like working crazy to get caught up. Here are the other sister set that I took last week. We also worked in some family shots along the way. I used to babysit the girls when Miss M was a baby. She is now 1 and Miss K recently turned 4. I was so excited to get so many shots of K smiling and posing. She used to never do that! M decided she was going to be serious this time around. But, with Mom's help, we figured out ways to get her to have some fun too. Here is your preview..ENJOY! It was great to see you guys.

This picture of Daddy and the girls cracks me up..don't know why..but it just makes me smile!

She is getting big!

I played around last week and took some pictures of Lydia. She is now officially 4 months old but these will be considered her 3 month shots since technically I caught it before the 28th! She was obsessed with her dress and kept wanting to lift it up in between times she would have her fingers in her mouth. Anyway, enjoy our little princess. I hope to soon get some shots of her with the boys. It seems they tend to run away when I pull out the camera so I am enjoying my immobile model for as long as I can.

I had to post this pix of the boys. John discovered the old school Transformers cartoons on youtube and the boys love watching them. Lydia is asleep on John's lap and you can barely see her but I thought it was just cute watching all them piled up in front of the computer.

The Girls

I had two sessions last week of sisters. Here is my first one. Little Miss L is now 3 months old and she was really wanting to go to sleep. Don't you love her gown? She reminded me of a precious baby doll. We were able to get some sweet shots and focused on big sis, Miss V when she was trying to sleep. We got some super fun shots of V before she got bored! I love the one of her on the porch. Here is a preview for Mom...the rest will be up soon! Thanks for letting me take pictures while you were in town. Your girls are beautiful!

Elise & Sam

I met Elise and her parents when John and I were at the Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Palmetto. Her parents and their Sunday School class sponsored our cottage and were super generous to the guys in our cottage. We always had such a nice visit when they came out and we were so grateful with all that they did for the guys. I kept in touch with them after we moved to Newnan and was so excited when they asked me to photograph Elise's wedding.

This was my first trip to LaGrange and I had such a great time. The wedding party consisted of all family and by the end of the day, I felt like I was apart of the family. Enjoy the preview. I had to post a lot because I could not narrow it down anymore. I am running a little behind but the rest will be up soon. Thanks again for letting me capture your beautiful wedding!

I LOVED all the candles!

I just had to take some pictures of the little ones there. She was such a doll!

Flashback...

My husband calls me a pack rack and well, I confess....I am! That is definitely a huge weakness of mine and at times I try to attack my clutter and "downsize." I know I don't need to keep every single piece of paper or card and I have gotten much better as I have gotten older. John will not agree with me on that but I do think I have made some progress. Today, I saw a box in a closet that I knew I had not touched in a very long time. I was about to start a trash pile when I opened a shoe box of old cards and letters. It was one of those moments when Lydia was sleeping, Luke & Matthew were entertained and I got lost. I sat on the floor and started reading these cards. They really took me back.

First of all, I had a ton of mail.. I mean cute cards with handwritten sentences and even writing on the back of cards. Who gets personalized mail anymore these days? Oh, what I would give to receive a card in the mail than all the other mundane reminders of adult responsibilities. I looked at the postmark (yes, the big dork kept the envelopes as well) and they were dated from 97-98. I was instantly thrown a decade back to the girl who was about to graduate from UGA, starting my first adult job out in the "real world," meeting "the one," getting engaged and planning my wedding. Did you get all that? You should have seen all the different addresses. I was just moved and got teared up when reading the words from my friends. I had birthday cards, Christmas cards, and mostly cards of friends telling me I was being prayed for and thought of. I was taken aback and again it reminded me of the seasons in our lives. I am so thankful for that season and have such vivid and precious memories. I thank God for that season and for those friends and sisters in Christ who were praying for me. I have not talked to some of them in a very long time. Life has taken us all down different paths, not to mention the additions of little ones and geography challenges.

I do miss the girls. But, I embrace this new season and look forward to the Christmas card family photo, the e-mail updates and the quick phone conversations in the car where we pick up like it was yesterday. I also embrace my 30's (did I just say that out loud?) as I keep looking upward to Jesus for His call and direction. As you see, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!

As for the box of cards..I heard a loud noise and knew I had to see what the boys were into and quick. I closed the lid and packed the shoe box into the other big box and put it back in the closet. I barely got to the middle of the box and I know I will want to continue someday. So, for now they will remain in the closet a little longer.....

Had to post a college pix. Go DAWGS!! Do you love my Ray-bans?
I was roommates with Karla (left) my Jr. year and with Melissa (right) my Sr. year.
